Lea Anne Welsh is the operational force behind the growth of AVE's hospitality-infused multifamily platform, AVE. As President of AVE and Chief Operating Officer of Korman Communities, she leads an end-to-end operating platform across a national portfolio that now spans more than 6,000 apartments across 20 properties in eight markets.
With 34 years in the industry and 19 years at the helm of AVE, Welsh oversees operations, asset strategy, sales and marketing, digital experience and brand standards. Under her leadership, AVE has earned the No. 1 ranking in renter satisfaction nationwide for four consecutive years (2023–2026), based entirely on resident feedback through Kingsley's Elite 5.
Welsh recently championed AVE's national brand evolution, guiding a comprehensive modernization of its identity and the launch of a redesigned, mobile-first digital platform built to serve a broader, more diverse audience. She has steered the openings and rapid lease-ups of communities including AVE Paradise Valley in Phoenix, AVE Santa Clara in Silicon Valley and the two-tower AVE Hamilton Green in the New York metro – all while investing in the high-touch service model that defines the brand. She spends roughly half her time onsite, meeting residents and collaborating with teams, a presence that keeps AVE's service ethos grounded as the brand scales.
Beyond AVE, Welsh serves as Chair of the Research & Data Analytics Committee for the King of Prussia District and on the advisory board for the Valley Forge Gateway Trail. She founded AVE's Holiday Spirit of Giving program six years ago and has contributed to national and regional conversations on the New American Dream in outlets including Forbes, Multifamily Executive, Multi-Housing News, Leading Voices in Real Estate, and Philadelphia Business Journal.
